The Summit Youth Academy runs from Sunday, July 19 - Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Southwestern College, and includes an online Bible study for the following school year.

How do I apply to attend the Summit?

We're looking for rising junior and senior high school students from a 350-mile radius of Southwestern College to attend the Summit 2020!  Student applications will be due any time before June 30, 2020; admissions are made on a rolling basis. You'll be contacted within one month about your acceptance after your complete application has been received.

A complete application includes:

  • Student application form
  • Nomination form from your pastor, youth worker, or church lay member.

Applications and nominations for Summit 2020 must be submitted by June 30, 2020.

What does it cost, and what do I pay?

You pay: $150 - $250

Depending on which Annual Conference you hail from, your cost to attend will be $150 - $250.  All participants from the Great Plains conference receive a $100 scholarship which makes their payment $150.  If you are a member of another conference, check to see if they will offer the same assistance, otherwise your responsibility is $250.  Your portion can be fund-raised, come from your own pocket, or be donated by someone else. Email Wendy to learn more about the fundraising option.

Your church pays: $200

We believe churches should invest in their young people, both literally and figuratively. Your church may have money in the budget to share, could take up an offering, or an individual may want to sponsor you. Your church can submit payment online or via check for their portion of your expenses.

We pay: $400

$850 is the cost for each Summit participant to experience a week of learning, fun, and spiritual growth at Southwestern College. Expenses include campus facilities usage, stipends and travel expenses for guest instructors and leaders, Birkman gifts inventory, materials and supplies, housing, meals, and much more. We’ve got your back! The Summit Youth Academy is partially funded by the Lilly Foundation, and we are so grateful for their generous contribution that allows us to cover half of the total cost of the program.

Final payments are due at check-in.  We'll send you a link to make your payment after you are admitted to the Summit.

Students are responsible for all of their transportation to and from the Summit, and we would love parents to be there for worship on the last morning before pickup!
